Lincoln Nautilus wins the 2020 MECOTY Awards
The MECOTY award event scheduled for March 30th, 2020 stands cancelled due to COVID-19 and the good news is that we get to discover the winners “without further ado” (just trying to make up for the absence of an on-stage speech.)
This week, Lincoln was proud to walk away with one award at the 2020 Middle East Car of The Year (MECOTY) awards.
The MECOTY Awards is the biggest, most coveted award for the region’s automotive industry; now in its 7th edition, the awards include a complicated but transparent nomination and scoring method which is developed and used by some of the most experienced ‘motoring minds’ and car journalists in the region as a whole. The awards recognize excellence in 10 categories, including: design and quality, performance and capability, technical innovation, and regional appeal.
This year, automotive journalists and members of the public from all around the Middle East voted for one iconic Lincoln vehicle in the below categories, competing against all other luxury car brands:
- The Lincoln Nautilus in the “Midsize Premium SUV ‘s segment
These results further cement the leadership each of these vehicles in their segment which we should all be proud of and will continue to market to Kuwait’s customers. Congratulations to the Lincoln Alghanim team!
